Reachin API is a modern development platform that facilitates both Rapid Application Development (RAD) as well as low level control for developing sophisticated 2D and 3D haptic enabled applications. The Reachin API is unique in that it provides an extensive library of pre-written code that greatly simplifies the inherent complexity of high-fidelity haptics and instead allows the developer to focus on the application itself.
The API is hardware independent and any application developed with the Reachin API will run properly from hardware vendors such as SensAble, Force Dimension, Quanser and Haption.
Since its inception, the Reachin API has evolved to embed not only advanced high-fidelity haptic features, but also a complete set of classes, nodes and interfaces for managing and synchronizing the haptics, graphics and audio aspects of advanced 2D and 3D applications.
Reachin API™ is a Trademark of Reachin Technologies AB.

HaptX is Reachin's 5th generation haptic engine. Originally developed to meet the needs of next-gen game engines, HaptX interacts
seamlessly with any physics and graphics engine. Through reuse of the native application's graphics and/or physics content, HaptX is extremely
effective and intuitive to use for development of touch-enabled applications. Finding new and exciting solutions for Human-Computer Interaction
has never been easier!
HaptX features a new concept called the HaptX Mouse Driver. The HaptX Mouse Driver allows developers to create applications where
the Haptic Controller can be used not only as a Haptic Controller, but also as a regular PC Mouse.
- Easy integration with any graphics and physics engine.
- Compatible with Haptic Controllers from Novint and Sensable.
- Encapsulates 10 years of experience within the field of haptics.
- Provides an extensive library of DirectX and OpenGL example applications.
HaptX® is a Registered Trademark of Reachin Technologies.

Reachin's haptic software solutions are hardware independent. HaptX provides out of the box support for the Novint Falcon and the Sensable Product Series. Reachin API also provides support for haptic controllers from hardware vendors such as Force Dimension, Quanser, and Haption.
Originally developed for the gaming community, the Novint Falcon is already widely used by companies and universities within the field of haptic research.
